National politics headlines added to this site, and new Web site for Las Cruces makes its debut

There are a couple of new things about which I’d like you to know.

First, I’ve added a national politics headline feed to this site. Now, the top 10 politics headlines from the Associated Press, including the first paragraph of each article, are displayed below the links in the right column on this site, and they’re updated several times each day. I hope you like that. Thanks to the Albuquerque Journal for allowing such use of its headlines feeds.

Second, today another Web site I’ve been developing makes its debut. CrucesNews.com is designed to be the home page for Las Cruces, a place on the Internet where people can go to find anything they need to know about the Las Cruces area. In addition to all sorts of useful links, the site includes local, national and world news from several different sources. It’s sort of like a Yahoo!-type page, only local. You can check it out by clicking here.

I’m always looking to improve this blog. If you have any suggestions, e-mail me at heath@haussamen.com.

Thanks for reading Heath Haussamen on New Mexico Politics!
