Details released for McCain, Clinton visits

John McCain’s wife Cindy will join him for Saturday’s rally in Mesilla, the campaign announced today in releasing details about the visit.

In addition, McCain’s New Mexico campaign manager, Marta Kramer, confirmed in an e-mail what I already reported: McCain will also make a stop in Albuquerque on Saturday. Kramer didn’t release additional details.

And the campaign of Barack Obama has released details about Hillary Clinton’s Saturday rally in Sunland Park.

The Mesilla rally for McCain begins at 3:30 p.m. on the Mesilla Plaza. Doors open at 2 p.m. Tickets are required, but do not guarantee entry, which is on a first-come, first-served basis. Click here for a list of ticket distribution centers in Las Cruces, Alamogordo and El Paso.

Clinton’s rally for Obama in Sunland Park begins an hour earlier at 2:30 p.m. Gates open at 1 p.m. for the event, which will be held at Elena Memorial Plaza, 101 Meadow Vista. The rally is free and open to the public. Tickets are not required, but the Obama campaign encourages people to RSVP, which you can do by clicking here.

The Obama campaign encourages carpooling because parking is limited, and says bags, signs and banners won’t be allowed into the event.
