New polls from Rasmussen Reports are good news for Democrats.
In the presidential race, Democrat Barack Obama is 13 points ahead of Republican John McCain, 55 percent to 42 percent. That’s a big jump from the group’s Oct. 1 poll, which had Obama leading 49 percent to 44 percent.
The new poll, which you can get more detail on by clicking here, was a telephone survey of 700 likely voters conducted on Monday. It has a margin of error of 4 percentage points.
In the U.S. Senate race, the same poll had Democrat Tom Udall leading Republican Steve Pearce by 20 points, 57 percent to 37 percent. The Oct. 1 poll had Udall leading 55 percent to 41 percent.
