Hidalgo goes to Pearce, Tinsley, Teague

With all precincts reporting, Republican U.S. Senate candidate Steve Pearce beat primary opponent Heather Wilson in Hidalgo County 75 percent to 25 percent.

Meanwhile, Ed Tinsley won Hidalgo County in the Republican 2nd Congressional District race with 27 percent of the vote to 24 percent each for C. Earl Greer and Greg Sowards, 17.5 percent for Aubrey Dunn Jr. and 7 percent for Monty Newman.

On the Democratic side in the 2nd District, Harry Teague beat Bill McCamley 63 percent to 37 percent.
