This #GivingTuesday, commit to a year of helping NMPolitics.net

New Mexico In Focus’ Gene Grant interviews NMPolitics.net editor and publisher Heath Haussamen in early 2018.

On this #GivingTuesday, NMPolitics.net still needs to raise $451.40 to reach its November fundraising goal of $3,000. I’d like your help reaching that goal, and I have another ask for today.

Instead of making a one-time donation that helps us get through a month, would you commit to supporting NMPolitics.net for a year? Regular, monthly donations put us on more sustainable footing and help us devote more time to doing journalism. You can sign up to give $5 a month or $50, or any amount you can afford, by clicking here.

We currently receive 133 automatic donations each month. I’ve set a goal of increasing that number to 200 by the end of 2019.

We’ve done a lot of collaborative, investigative and solutions-oriented journalism in recent years. We’ve focused on being on the ground in our community so we can provide more accurate analysis of what’s happening. We work to bring you thoughtful commentary and safer and more respectful discussion forums than most other spots on the Internet. We are suing Spaceport America to try to force the release of public records because we believe in your right to access information about your government.

We have big plans to build on that success. In these uncertain times, local, independent journalism is critical to our future. Please, commit to a year of helping NMPolitics.net. $10 a month is less than a Netflix subscription. $5 is one beer.

This #GivingTuesday, and this year, prioritize the journalism our community needs: https://www.nmpolitics.net/index/donate/

Thank you. I couldn’t do this work without you.
