NMPolitics.net editor and publisher Heath Haussamen joined others on the television show New Mexico Now this week to discuss President Donald Trump’s impact on the borderland and the 2017 session of the New Mexico Legislature.
Haussamen was on a panel with Las Cruces Sun-News opinion page editor Walt Rubel and Jerry Pacheco, executive director of the N.M. International Business Accelerator and president of the Border Industrial Association. KRWG’s Anthony Moreno hosted the show.
The discussion covered topics including the impact Trump’s proposed border wall would have on New Mexico’s economy, the recent immigration raids, the debate over how to balance the state budget, and whether this is the year New Mexico will join the vast majority of other states in creating a commission to set ethical standards for government and police violations.
