Former Gov. Bill Richardson has been cited in an automobile accident in Santa Fe, The Santa Fe New Mexican is reporting. A spokesman said he didn’t believe anyone was injured in the crash.
Richardson was cited for following too closely and failing to report the accident, the newspaper reported.
The date and exact location of the accident, which occurred near downtown Santa Fe, weren’t immediately clear. Other details weren’t immediately available.
Richardson, who was governor from 2003-2010, spends a lot of time traveling but has a home in Santa Fe. He had a reputation for flaunting traffic laws as governor.
