Gov. Susana Martinez on Tuesday appointed Jim Hall of Los Alamos to replace Jeanette Wallace, who died in April, in the N.M. House of Representatives.
Hall, a Republican and former Los Alamos city councilor and school board member, will represent District 43.
“As we fight to turn New Mexico around by fostering economic growth, reforming education, and promoting public safety, I’m confident that Mr. Hall shares the hope of all New Mexicans to create a brighter future for our families and businesses,” Martinez said in a news release.
Hall said he looks forward to working with Martinez “to turn our state around.”
“I will do my best to honor Jeannette Wallace’s outstanding record of public service, and I’m honored to be selected to serve the people of the 43rd District,” he said. “I’m eager to get to work to tackle the challenges in front of us.”
