When Gov.-elect Susana Martinez takes office in January, she will have to resign from her current position as Doña Ana County’s district attorney, and then appoint someone to replace her.
Many have speculated that current Deputy District Attorney Amy Orlando is in line for the job, but Martinez says she hasn’t yet decided who to appoint.
“She has yet to make a decision as to who that person will be,” Martinez spokesman Danny Diaz wrote in an e-mail.
