Election Day is here! NMPolitics.net plans updates during the day as they’re warranted and constant coverage of the results this evening. Check back often.
In the meantime, if you haven’t already done so, vote! Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
You can find your polling place here:
Throughout the day, The Santa Fe New Mexican and New Mexico Independent will be hosting a liveblog of the day’s events. Find it here. I’ll be on it from time to time.
If you have questions about voting or experience Election Day problems, you can call the nonprofit coalition Count Every Vote New Mexico at 1-866-OUR VOTE (866-687-8683) or 1-888-VE-Y-VOTA (888-839-8682).
Before calling the group, you should probably call your county clerk with questions or concerns. You can find your clerk’s contact information here.
Don’t know who the candidates are? You can find your sample ballot here. You can learn more about the candidates, proposed constitutional amendments and bond questions from voter guides published by the Las Cruces Sun-News, Albuquerque Journal, Santa Fe New Mexican and League of Women Voters.
As I said, I’ll be working from the moment the polls close until the early hours of Wednesday morning if necessary – and I predict it will be necessary – to bring you election results as quickly as I can. Check back often.
E-mail me at heath@haussamen.com if you encounter any newsworthy situations or want to provide reports and/or photos from polling places. I’m interested in reports and photos from around the state…
Take the time to vote today. And good luck to the candidates!
