Martin Heinrich
NMPolitics.net was able to interview and profile GOP 1st Congressional District candidate Jon Barela in May when he visited Las Cruces, but I haven’t been able to interview his Democratic opponent, Martin Heinrich, for a similar profile.
That’s mostly due to the fact that I live in Las Cruces and Heinrich represents the Albuquerque area in Congress. He’s not made a trip down here, and we were unable to meet when I was in Albuquerque recently.
At any rate, that’s why I thought it was important to point you to The New Mexico Independent’s new profile of Heinrich. The article by Marjorie Childress is a good look at what the freshman congressman has done during his first term in Washington.
