Susana Martinez
Early and absentee voting numbers from Bernalillo County have been released and give Susana Martinez an early lead in the Republican gubernatorial primary race.
With early and absentee votes from Bernalillo County tallied, Martinez has 9,113 votes, or 46.71 percent, to Allen Weh’s 6,925 votes, or 35.49 percent. Doug Turner has 1,935 votes, or 9.92 percent; Pete Domenici Jr. has 955 votes, or 4.89 percent; and Janice Arnold-Jones has 583 votes, or 2.99 percent.
In the Democratic primary for lieutenant governor, Brian Colón has a very narrow lead over Lawrence Rael in Bernalillo County – 32.15 percent to 30.30 percent. Kent Cravens and John Sanchez are nearly tied – 42.56 percent to 41.67 percent – in the GOP lieutenant governor’s race.
