A new poll out Friday found Republican Susana Martinez with a two-point lead over Democrat Diane Denish in the gubernatorial race.
The Rasmussen Reports poll had Martinez leading 44 percent to 42 percent, with 14 percent undecided or preferring other candidates.
The survey of 500 likely voters was conducted Thursday and has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.5 percentage points.
Last month’s Rasmussen Reports poll had Denish up 43 percent to 42 percent. Also last month, a SurveyUSA poll had Martinez leading 49 percent to 43 percent.
Denish was viewed favorably by 24 percent of those surveyed in the newest poll and unfavorably by 21 percent. Martinez was viewed favorably by 22 percent and unfavorably by 15 percent.
