One of Republican gubernatorial candidate Doug Turner’s TV ads (this one) is getting attention from FOX News today for being “unusual” and “innovative.”
Check out the FOX News report:
The Turner ad got the attention of Republicans and Democrats alike in the test political analyst Frank Luntz applied in the FOX News report.
“It was an innovative approach. It used words coming on the screen in a way that got you to really think what was in the ad, and it connects to people,” Luntz said. “… Doug Turner’s ad gets you to remember who the candidate is. … That’s an effective ad.”
The problem for Turner? For some reason, the introduction of his ad in the FOX News report included a reference to Sarah Palin endorsing one of his opponents, Susana Martinez, over the weekend. It showed video of Palin and Martinez on stage together.
The sum of the FOX News report? Hey Doug, we like your ad, but Sarah’s backing Susana…
Think FOX News did that intentionally?
