Republican gubernatorial candidate Allen Weh is out with his third TV ad of the election season today, a 30-second spot that attacks the Democrats’ gubernatorial candidate, Diane Denish.
Here’s the ad:
The ad is airing on broadcast and cable stations around the state, the campaign said.
Update, 5:25 p.m.
Denish spokesman Chris Cervini had this to say:
“The Republican politicians may disagree, but Diane Denish believes that if you’re not visiting the small towns in every corner of the state, you’re not in touch with the people of our state. Diane grew up in a small town, owned a small business and she’s running for governor to help small businesses in our communities create jobs and grow. That’s the new direction New Mexico needs. This cheap attack is somewhat ironic coming from Allen Weh, given that he owns a private jet company that has made more than $225 million on the backs of taxpayers through government contracts.”
Update, 9:15 p.m.
The New Mexico Independent’s Matt Reichbach did some fact-checking on Weh’s ad. Check it out here.
