Las Cruces city councilors will meet in closed session on Monday to discuss adding “performance objectives” to City Manager Terrence Moore’s contract.
The council met last month to discuss a number of issues surrounding Moore, including an ongoing law enforcement investigation into two incidents involving Moore and his ex-wife, reimbursements Moore made to the city earlier this year for some costs associated with two business trips he took last year, and the fact that he had his administrative assistant babysit his children in December while she was on the clock.
Following that meeting, Mayor Ken Miyagishima said the council considered the law enforcement probe a “personal issue” for Moore and would “figure out if there’s anything we need to do” once it was complete. That probe is still ongoing.
Monday’s meeting, Miyagishima has said, will focus on adding measurable goals to Moore’s contract. He has said the council will probably vote publicly on those changes to the contract in May.
Monday’s meeting is in Conference Room 1024 at City Hall, 700 N. Main Street.
