Republican gubernatorial candidate Janice Arnold-Jones secured the endorsement today of former State Rep. and New Mexico GOP Chairman Murray Ryan.
“I’ve known Representative Arnold-Jones for several years and she is clearly the best choice for New Mexico,” Ryan said in a news release. “At a time when New Mexico faces many challenges, huge budget deficits, pay-to-play politics and a culture of corruption in Santa Fe, we cannot afford to elect a new governor who will require on-the-job training.”
Arnold-Jones called it an “honor to receive the support of a man who has dedicated his life to the people of New Mexico.”
Ryan, who is from Silver City, served in the New Mexico House from 1969-1998, and was chairman of the Republican Party of New Mexico from 1973-1975.
