Republican gubernatorial candidate Susana Martinez today announced the endorsement of state Sen. William Sharer, R-Farmington.
“Susana Martinez shares our conservative values and can defeat Diane Denish in 2010,” Sharer said. “She’s exactly the kind of candidate the New Mexico Republican Party needs and I’m excited to endorse her candidacy.”
Martinez said she accepted Sharer’s endorsement “with great pride.”
“Bill understands the concerns of voters in our great state and I look forward to working with him to share our message of accountability and reform,” she said.
Martinez is competing in the GOP primary against state Rep. Janice Arnold-Jones, public relations professional Doug Turner and former state GOP Chairman Allen Weh.
