Republican gubernatorial candidate Susana Martinez today announced the endorsements of three elected officials from Otero County.
Martinez said in a news release that the endorsements from three Republicans — state Sen. Dianna Duran, County Treasurer Grace Gonzalez and County Commissioner Ronny Rardin — show that her campaign “is picking up momentum.”
“…we will continue to take our message of accountability and reform to every voter in our great state,” she said.
Duran, in the release, said Martinez “has a proven track record taking on corruption as the Doña Ana County district attorney and will bring much-needed reform to Santa Fe as our state’s next governor.”
“Susana Martinez has won many tough elections in a county where Republicans are outnumbered 3 to 1, and is the type of candidate that can go toe-to-toe and defeat the Democrats next fall,” Gonzalez said.
“Having looked at all the candidates running for governor, I strongly believe Susana Martinez will best represent Otero County and New Mexico and I enthusiastically support her candidacy,” Rardin said.
Martinez is competing in the GOP primary against state Rep. Janice Arnold-Jones, public relations professional Doug Turner and former state GOP Chairman Allen Weh.
