State Rep. Joseph Cervantes, D-Las Cruces and others will hold a summit next month to educate people about how proposed clean-energy legislation will affect agriculture in New Mexico.
The summit and workshop, which a news release says is open to “land owners, farmers, policy makers and concerned citizens,” will be held Sept. 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum, 4100 Dripping Springs Road in Las Cruces.
Hosting the summit will be Cervantes, New Mexico State University Animal Range Sciences faculty member Joel Brown and the American Farmland Trust, the release states.
