Networks don’t wait, declare Udall the winner

CNN and CBS News are declaring Democrat Tom Udall the winner of New Mexico’s U.S. Senate race.

That comes despite the fact that fewer than 1,000 votes have been counted, according to KRQE-TV. Udall has enjoyed huge leads in the polls throughout most of the campaign.

Neither campaign immediately responded to a request for comment.
