White’s new ad hits Heinrich over lobbyist flap

Republican 1st Congressional District candidate Darren White’s new TV ad is a hard-hitting, negative assault that accuses Democratic opponent Martin Heinrich of breaking the law.

Here’s the 30-second spot, which the White campaign released today:

“Martin Heinrich: Running a false campaign to hide his record,” the ad’s narrator states. “For years, Heinrich illegally ran an unlicensed business. While on city council, he broke city laws. Heinrich was a special-interest lobbyist. His boss said he broke the law again by never registering. Heinrich used his elected office to help his paying clients. No wonder he broke the law to hide the truth. Martin Heinrich can’t be trusted.”

There’s a lot in the ad. Check out this article and this article that I’ve written on the topic.

Meanwhile, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee is out with new ads in the 1st and 2nd District races. Here’s the ad attacking White in the 1st District race:

And the Spanish-language ad in the 2nd District race attacking Republican candidate Ed Tinsley:
