Actor’s rally for McCain in Las Cruces is canceled

A planned rally for Republican presidential candidate John McCain that was to be held in Las Cruces this afternoon with Mexican actor Educardo Verástegui has been canceled.

An e-mail from the McCain campaign said only that “unforeseen travel problems” mean the event won’t happen. It was to take place at 2 p.m. at The Dream Center, 1400 N. 6th Street in Las Cruces.
