The Doña Ana County Bureau of Elections has added a new feature to its Web site that allows absentee voters to track their ballots.
The feature prompts an absentee voter to enter his or her last name, year of birth, street address and ZIP code. The program then searches the elections database to determine whether an absentee ballot has been requested.
The absentee ballot tracker can be accessed by clicking here.
If a ballot request is outstanding, the system will show the voter’s full name and one or more of the following: the date the absentee ballot application was received, the date the ballot was mailed out and the date the completed ballot was received for processing at the Bureau of Elections, according to a news release from the county.
Absentee voting for the Nov. 4 general election begins Oct. 7.
