A funeral for Jim Kadlecek will be held Sunday in Greeley, Colo.
The funeral mass will be held at 2 p.m. at St. Peter’s Catholic Church. There will be a reception following at 3:30 p.m. at the Regency Hotel, 701 8th Street in Greeley.
In lieu of flowers, Jim’s family has asked that people donate to three organizations. His son wrote in an e-mail that all are organizations Jim “was extremely passionate about.”
The first is Ridge Home in Wheatridge, Colo., a facility for developmentally disabled adults. Jim helped fund the facility years ago when he served in the Colorado Senate. Donations can be sent to Ridge Home for the Developmentally Disabled, 10451 West 38th Avenue, Wheatridge, CO, 80033.
The second is New Catholic Charities in Las Cruces. Operated through the Diocese of Las Cruces, the charity helps people who need housing assistance. Jim was passionate about and active in helping people who need affordable housing.
