Hillary Clinton’s daughter will visit El Paso Friday and her husband will visit Saturday to campaign in advance of Texas’ March 4 primary, the Associated Press is reporting.
Details of both visits have not been finalized or announced.
Texas is a must-win state for Hillary Clinton, who hasn’t won a primary or caucus since Feb. 5 and has been overtaken in the delegate race by Barack Obama.
Hillary Clinton is banking on huge Hispanic support in Texas, which explains her focus on El Paso. Its population of more than 736,000 is 81 percent Hispanic. Hillary Clinton drew a crowd of 12,000 in El Paso earlier this month. Obama has not visited El Paso.
Hillary Clinton and Obama will debate tonight at the University of Texas-Austin. The debate begins at 6 p.m. and will be televised on CNN and broadcast online at cnn.com.
