However, the poll did not account for the candidacy of the lesser-known Jon Mercurio, who announced his candidacy mid-week. There’s also the possibility that other candidates will emerge on or before the Sept. 25 filing date.
Regardless, of 177 voters in last week’s poll, 91, or 51 percent, said Miyagishima would win the Nov. 6 election, while 86, or 49 percent, said Mattiace will win.
