President Bush today defended outgoing Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, saying he had been treated unfairly while announcing that he had accepted his resignation.
“After months of unfair treatment that has created a harmful distraction at the Justice Department, Judge Gonzales decided to resign his position, and I accept his decision,” Bush said at a brief news conference in
