Three finalists have been selected for the position of executive vice president and provost at New Mexico State University.
The successful applicant will replace Bill Flores, who recently left the job to become deputy secretary of higher education for the state.
Those in the running the replace him are Waded Cruzado Salas, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at NMSU; Jeffrey Seemann, dean of the College of Environment and Life Sciences at the University of Rhode Island; and Bob Smith, provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs at the University of Arkansas.
The three were selected by a search committee. They’ll now interview on campus and meet with President Michael Martin, who will pick the new provost.
