Candidates for seats on the Gadsden Independent School District Board of Education will share their views during a forum next week.
The event, sponsored by the South Valley Alliance and New Mexico Progressive Alliance for Community Empowerment, will be held Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the volunteer fire station in Anthony, located at

In District 1, incumbent Manuela Huerta faces Luz Vargas-Troncoso, who was recalled in 2005 but wants her seat back. Rodolfo Franco will challenge incumbent Jennifer Viramontes for the District 2 seat.
Maria Saenz is running unopposed to retain her District 3 seat. She was the only board member not recalled in 2005.
Elva Flores is challenging incumbent Daniel Castillo for the District 4 seat. Craig Ford and Robert Zinmaster are challenging incumbent Charles Gonnell for the District 5 seat.
