Wilson to make announcement at 2:30 p.m. Monday

Heather Wilson

Former U.S. Rep. Heather Wilson’s formal announcement that she’s running for U.S. Senate will come at 2:30 p.m. Monday in Albuquerque.

A news release sent out on behalf of Wilson states that she will make “an announcement” at that time, but it isn’t specific about what the announcement will be. However, as NMPolitics.net has already reported, Wilson will announce that she’s going to run for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by Democrat Jeff Bingaman.

Wilson, a Republican, will make the announcement at Desert Paper and Envelope, 2700 Girard NE in Albuquerque.

  1. Heather Wilson is a formidable candidate for the Senate – so much better than Congressman Stevan Pearce, who only appeals to the extreme right wing of the Republican party with his radical anti- government stance and his outrageous remarks ie. about President Obama’s place of birth; and the Gila road closures. His candidacy would be a major disaster for Republicans in New Mexico.
