Meet NMPolitics.net’s new blogger

Elisa Cundiff

Meet Elisa Cundiff, NMPolitics.net’s new blogger. Elisa will be writing her own blog, Balder and Dash, which you can find online at nmpolitics.net/balder-and-dash.

I’m excited to announce Elisa’s new blog. I’ve been working for months to expand the diversity of voices on this site. Commentaries from regular and guest writers now appear almost daily. Adding individual blogs is the next step in that expansion.

Some larger news Web sites like the Washington Post and Texas Tribune have bloggers who run their own pages within their news organizations’ Web sites and develop their own followings. That’s the vision here. Elisa is the first, but look for the introduction of additional bloggers on NMPolitics.net in the coming weeks and months.

Elisa is a graduate of the United World College of Hong Kong and of New York University. She helped launch Thrive, a personal financial advisory software program that was purchased by LendingTree in 2009. She now works for Churnless.com, a start-up consulting firm, and Energy Concepts, a New Mexico-based solar and wind systems company.

Elisa is also a moderator for internetevolution.com, an online tech-focused magazine, and is a member of the Las Cruces Green Chamber of Commerce.

As you can see, Elisa is an active citizen who has an understanding of some key issues including the financial industry and energy. She’s young, intelligent, and has some fresh ideas. I’m excited that she’s agreed to take part in the debate on NMPolitics.net.

Look for her to be blogging 2-3 times a week at nmpolitics.net/balder-and-dash.

Please welcome Elisa to the site. You can e-mail her at elisa@nmpolitics.net.
